Education:
BA (HONS) Fine Craft Design (Ceramics) - University of Ulster, Belfast. Graduated 1994.
Appointments / Professional Experience:
I am a diploma holder member of The Ulster Society of Women Artists (USWA). I was honoured to be elected President 2018 - 2020.
During that time, I encouraged new members to join, and created a new website for the Society. The USWA profile continues to grow into an ever more dynamic society and I am proud to be a serving member on the council.
In September 2023, USWA hosted a new Plein Air Weekend in Enniskillen Island Town. I contributed as one of the Invited Artists to demonstrate plein air techniques and run a workshop.
I am an Associate Member of the Pastel Society of Ireland.
I am available for art demonstrations and workshops, showing my methods in either oil or pastels with several art clubs around Northern Ireland.
These include;- Dundonald Art Club, Hillsborough Art Society, Bangor Art Society, Kilmood Art Club, Comber, VisArt Ballymena, Portglenone Art Club, and Sperrin Art Club, Omagh and The Ulster Reform Club, Belfast. I was a tutor for VisArt, an art group in Ballymena for 5 years until May 2023. I host plein air classes during the spring, summer and autumn.
Awards:
The Lily Davies Award for Best Newcomer 2017 at the Ulster Society of Women Artists (USWA) Annual Exhibition.
The Past Presidents Award 2019 at the USWA Annual Exhibition.
Art & Home Framing Award 2021 at the USWA Annual Exhibition.
Award for the Best Work by a non member 2019 at the Pastel Society of Ireland Annual Exhibition.
I have works in commercial galleries;- The Yard, Holywood, The Doghouse Gallery, Comber and No 6 Queen Street, Coleraine.
I also participate in Art Fairs, notably Art Source RDS, Dublin and Garden Show Ireland, Antrim.

Commissions:
I was thrilled in June 2023 to be commissioned by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council to do a painting of the New Coronation Garden, designed by celebrity gardener Diarmuid Gavin to be presented to King Charles and Queen Camilla. The painting is now in the Royal Collection.
Numerous private collectors have also commissioned paintings.
