I love antique shops! I grew up being trailed around them as a child and was bored for every second of it - or so I thought..... As I grew up myself, I realised that I had gained a lot of love, knowledge and appreciation for beautifully made antique things without trying. Not everything just gets thrown away. Some surviving pieces come to a "halfway house" of the antique shop before their onward journeys of being valued.
In "Green Emporium," I was celebrating a playful ensemble of beautiful things, placed well yet randomly together.
Arranged in this green room, is a collection brought together in an every changing magpie display, enticing the viewer to select a favourite to take away to continue their histories. The view captured here is fleeting, temporary, always being added to and reduced in parts. Separately Together.
